Melissa is a g, homes!
So. This is where I tell you about myself, huh? Well I'm 18. 5'4" Cuban. I like long walks on the beach, and candle-lit dinners... heh. Not that kind of interview? Oh, well. Either way, I'm going to make this page completely optional. Come check in if you want to find links to my personal accounts [to your left you will see a box labeled, Check my Shizz!] or if you want to know what projects I'm currently working on [just below that you will find a box labeled, What's Happenin'?!]. I guess from here on I'll just give you a brief over-view of myself. Of course, if you want to know the hard-hitting questions, you need not look further than the bottom of this page [directly below all of this you will find yourself face to face with the interview to end all interviews... I could most definitely be a tour guide. :]] So onwards we go!
Yo, the name is Melissa. I am amazing. But you already know that. I like a lot of things, so it would be very time consuming to sit here and list all those things. I do, however, have very few things I really LOVE. One of those few is my family. I know, cliche as fuck, but I do... no matter how insane they may be. Cause that's just the way we roll. My friends, which are pretty much my chosen family, are my second loves. Those crazy bitches are like... way too awesome for words. They really complete me- wow, again with the stereotypical speech. Please, forgive me. I would blame the writer's strike, but that's been settled so... One of my biggest passions is the theatre. No matter how many times I get "the look" [you know, the one where people look at you like they know you're going to fail], I know I'm going to be something big. The feeling I get when I'm on the stage is something that can't be replaced by anything of this world. Just wait, and remember the name: Melissa Calderon. :]
And I'm only bringing this up because I know someone [Logan] will deem it necessary to talk down to me: Another of my loves... The Jonas Brothers. Got a problem with it? Yeah, well, I'm sure there's a nice corner right over there where you can fuck yourself. Because really, I don't want to hear it. No one will truely understand what they mean to me. The reason for this is that people can't see past the whole "teeney-bopper" Disney label that has so damagingly scarred them. Yeah, so they're signed to Hollywood Records, which is owned by Disney. Wanna know who else is on that label? Breaking Benjamin, Plain White T's, the friggin' Indigo Girls and FUCKING QUEEN! Yes. Queen as in Freddie Mercury Queen. Queen as in one of the most AMAZING bands ever. Yeah, that Queen. On a "Disney label." The same one as the Jonas Brothers. So there goes that lame excuse. Because they are so much more than that, they're real people. Real people who work extremely hard to make a difference- not just for their fans, but for the world. Even through his battle with diabetes, Nichloas Jerry Jonas and his family find the time to not only rock out for their fans, but make a difference in the lives of needy children and families. They are all an inspiration and are genuinely amazing for doing all that they do with charities. And yes, at the moment, their fan-base consists of mainly tweens, but that's kinda how everyone started out, and they really haven't gotten the exposure they deserve. But you know what's great? The fact that those same teeney boppers are going to have good role models to look up to, unlike we did when we were kids. They'll have something to listen to other than some crap that talks about sex, drugs, and being illiterate ["The Way I Are?" Please, cut me]. Because as sad as it is, these kids are the future, and personally, I am excited for a future with Jonas. I can honestly say that I see them making a huge impact on our world. Even if its on a three on one basis for some little kid out there- that's all it takes. These guys are going to be big, just you wait. Kinda like me, huh? lol. So yeah. Melissa Calderon and the Jonas Brothers: Changing the world, one teeney bopper at a time. :]
Sorry for that rant, but I felt I should clear things up now before they got out of hand. lol. So as you can see, when I really believe in something, I really go for it. That's probably the most important thing you'll ever learn about me. Sure, I may be a happy-go-lucky, bubbly little ditz, but don't even think about going up against me in a battle of my beliefs. Trust me, it'll just be a waste of your time, cause I always win. :]
